Thank you for considering adopting a new best friend! As an organization, Community Cat works diligently to find loving homes that are the best match for our rescued felines (and occasionally other furry friends). With this in mind, please consider our guidelines when we are reviewing adoption applications:

Potential adopters must...

Be over 21 years of age

      Provide government issued photo identification

Have consent from all adults living in the household

If renting, have permission from the landlord to keep pets at the rental property

Community Cat reserves the right to perform additional steps to ensure a good match between a pet and any potential adopter, including calling veterinary references, confirming pet policies with landlords, house visits/interviews, etc. At all times, Community Cat has the right to accept or deny any adoption application.

We also recommend that you carefully review our Adoption Contract before adopting from our organization and familiarize yourself with all related requirements.

Adoption Application

Interested in finding your new best friend forever? Fill out a cat adoption application or dog adoption application! We also occasionally have critters or birds available for adoption. Please be as thorough as possible and our volunteers will be in touch within 2-3 days.

Adoption Fees

Community Cat charges a nominal fee for adoptions that helps offset our veterinary and supply costs (these mooches don't feed themselves!). Each cat or kitten is spayed/neutered and has all age-appropriate vaccines. Frequently our cats will have additional veterinary care including dental surgeries, amputations, enucleations, hospitalization bills, etc. Other furry friends receive all appropriate veterinary care and attention, as well. Your adoption fee helps us continue to rescue animals that are most in need. Remember, no cat left behind!

Our adoption fees for cats are as follows, unless otherwise stated:

Kittens (6 months and under) = $150, or two for $225

      Adults (6 months to 8 years) = $75, two adults for $100

Seniors (8 years and up) = $40, two seniors for $60

Ask about our Seniors for Seniors program! Free adoptions of senior cats to

      senior citizens.

For canine friends, our adoption fees are as follows, unless otherwise stated:

       Adults (up to 7 years) = $275

       Seniors (8 years and up) = $200

Adoption fees for critters and birds vary by species. Specific adoption fees are listed in their adoption bios.
